This was the 2nd time my friends and I ate lunch at Dolsan. The atmosphere at lunchtime is fairly quiet and the music isn’t too loud, so it is easy to talk. The staff is friendly and helpful, though they are fairly strict about some things. For instance, if you want a spice level between 1 (not spicy at all) and 2 (spicy), you cannot say 1.5. We were told the kitchen staff has spoons with exact measurements and cannot accommodate a halfway point. So be careful when deciding the spice level you want and can tolerate. Spice level 2 is definitely spicy enough for me. We began with a scallion pancake, served with a dipping sauce and large enough to split three ways, giving each of us two slices. One of my friends and I each ordered chicken bulgogi. It was very good, served in a sizzling bowl and accompanied with several side dishes, such as miso soup, kimchee, veggie dumplings, and pasta salad. We enjoyed this place enough that it is on our regular rotation of lunchtime restaurants.

I’m from north jersey, and was delightedly shocked by how delicious the food is here. The restaurant is spacious and modern. All there food is delicious whether you get kbbq or not. Best Korean food in New Jersey. Manager took great care of us. Definitely recommend.

5/5 ⭐ Dolsan BBQ is a MUST TRY! Just had dinner here and wow, everything was incredible. The meat quality is top-notch - look at that marbling! We got the thinly sliced brisket, ribeye, and galbi and all of them were super fresh and flavorful. The banchan was great too. That steamed egg was fluffy and the kimchi stew + tteokbokki were the perfect spicy sides while we grilled. Best part? The manager personally served our table the whole time. He was so kind, friendly, and attentive - even helped us grill the meat to perfection. Service was fast and the grill was clean. The place feels modern and cozy. Worth every penny. Will 100% be back!

Friendly staff and excellent service. Elevated Korean bbq experience: great ambiance and very high quality food. The distinct taste and texture profiles leaves you feeling fulfilled (while full+filled) at the end of the meal. Definitely would recommend if you’re seeking a memorable kbbq outing without the lingering smell (planning my next visit with my family before this current one is done). Soooo delicious! We got the Dolsan feast for 4 and left so happy and full. Since it was a celebration we also ordered some dolsot bibimbap with bulgogi and soondubu soup. Delicious! ✨️ I would go back for just the bibimbap alone! Service was fantastic, everyone was so kind and made our experience so wonderful. I highly recommending visiting Dolsan if you want some delicious and soul-comforting Korean food! :)
